Advertising Sales Representative

Pay Rate: $12.00/hr plus commissions

An experienced Sales Representative is needed to sell a variety of advertising products in the Lehigh Valley area for all nine of our paid subscriber newspapers. In addition to developing new business, representatives will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and maintenance of existing accounts. Must meet progressive sales revenue goals designed to be achievable for growth and success. Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record.

General Responsibilities Include:

  • Growing and maintaining revenue within assigned territory or account base
  • Selling effectively with the use of market research into print, online and niche publications
  • Monitoring competitive media and staying abreast of industry trends
  • Uncovering new/incremental revenue streams from competitive media
  • Becoming actively involved with the community and events in assigned territory
  • Providing regular reports to management including sales recaps and customer feedback
  • Establishing and developing relationships and marketing strategies through consultation with advertisers to help meet their objectives and exceed advertising territory revenue goals

Qualifications:

  • H.S. Diploma or GED
  • 5+ Years sales experience or Associates Degree in Sales and Marketing preferred but will consider a driven individual with high desire to succeed
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs and Internet use 
  • Proficiency with Ad Layouts a plus
