Pay Rate: $10.50-12.00/hr, based on education and experience

The Business Office Representative assists with supporting all aspects of the business office.  The ideal candidate will be able to answer calls, create service orders, apply cash or credit payments at the payment counter or over the phone as well as any other tasks assigned by Director of Customer Service.

Job Responsibilities Include:

  • All aspects of Order Entry and product knowledge
  • Manually creating accounts in billing platform
  • Manually creating service orders for specific customer requests (Disconnects, Number Changes, Feature Changes, Calling Plans, Address Changes, Installs, etc.)
  • Manually extracting files for submission through the various portals
  • Creating and processing Trouble Tickets
  • Interacting with customers on a daily basis
  • Interacting with various departments within Palmerton Telephone and sister companies
  • Answering phone calls to support representatives, technicians, customers, etc.
  • Assisting with various error reports and audit reports to maintain the highest level of accuracy possible
  • Managing daily orders to establish they are ready for technician on scheduled due date
  • Replying to company and customer emails in a timely fashion
  • Applying payment (cash and credit card) to customer’s accounts in various billing systems



  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • A minimum of one (1) year experience with Customer Service preferred
  • Strong background in Telecommunications preferred
