PenTeleData, a leader in Internet Hosting Services, is seeking a Systems Administrator to monitor, maintain and deploy hosting services. This highly skilled group of Administrators is responsible for the setup and monitoring of PenTeleData's advanced systems and commercial customer accounts. The ideal candidate must be able to manage multiple concurrent tasks or projects, prioritize and handle interrupts in a timely fashion, and work as an individual or part of a team with minimal supervision.
 General responsibilities will include:

  • Installing, configuring, troubleshooting and supporting VMWare
  • Installing, configuring, troubleshooting and supporting Windows Servers
  • Installing, configuring, troubleshooting and supporting Linux Servers
  • Installing, configuring, troubleshooting and supporting Active Directory
  • Installing, configuring, troubleshooting and supporting Exchange
  • Installing, configuring, troubleshooting and supporting Data Backups
  • Installing, configuring, troubleshooting and supporting Remote Access Systems
  • Installing, configuring, troubleshooting and supporting Routers, switches and firewalls
  • Providing IT Support relating to issues with the internal IT systems and network infrastructure
  • Installing, configuring, troubleshooting and supporting corporate hardware and software end-user support
  • Quickly and efficiently responding to incoming helpdesk support tickets and phone calls
  • Serving in the department on-call rotation to ensure that our 24/7 critical systems remain highly available

INDLP

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an IT related discipline
  • Valid/Active CCNA, MCSE, VCP6-DCV Certifications
  • 3+ years’ experience in a large production server and network management environment
  • 3+ years’ experience with Linux and Windows Server operating systems
  • 3+ years’ experience with Exchange, Active Directory, VMWare, Cisco Switches, Routers and Firewalls
  • 3+ years’ experience with network storage administration / troubleshooting
  • Strong programming / scripting experience (Bourne, Bash, Go, Perl, PHP, Java, C)
  • Strong working knowledge of DNS Administration and Troubleshooting, LXC/LXD Containers, Veeam Back-up and Recovery, Apache or Nginx web servers, Zimbra Collaboration Suite, OpenLDAP, IPv4 & IPv6 networking
  • Working knowledge of hardware/software clustering, ARIN IP allocation policies and procedures, and network and server security best practices
  • Excellent Communications Skills - Oral and Written

  • Ability to be reliable and dependable in attendance and handling assignments in a timely manner
